Motivation Tips to Study

Motivational tips for students

All of us, at one point or another, need a pat in the back or someone to tell us that we can do something great. Many suffer for life because they do not get the right advice at the right time. However for some life takes a turn for the better because they had someone when they needed them the most. Students, especially in the 21st century, are way too burdened. Today’s education system is way too demanding. Nothing less than a 90% is good enough. While the pass mark may be 45%, the cut offs are 90% or above in all good colleges. So the pressure on students is huge.

However students need to remember a few things and think about them when they are sad or depressed or worried that things are not working out.

Do not forget the reason why you are doing what you are doing. No matter how big or small we may be, whether we are class 2 student or a college student, we have dreams for ourselves. So keep that dream alive and understand that every bit of hard-work you are putting in a step towards that big dream. If you are a student today then tomorrow you will be big enough to enjoy the fruits of all your hard work. And it is true when they say that the harder you work, the sweeter the taste of success will be.

Get the right attitude. No one is born a scientist or a doctor or a professor. Everyone gets there because they have worked hard and if they could then you can to. The journey to success is not easy for anybody but it does not have to be a painful one too. Remember that everyone has a gift and you have to channelize this gift to achieve the kind of result that you want to. If you fail at something try again and again till you get it right.

Compete with your fellow students. It’s not always bad to compare and see how well you stand. However do not be disappointed that you are not the No.1 student. If there is someone else there today, it could very well be you tomorrow. All you need to do is stay focussed and keep working hard. The harder you work, the better you get. Competition often brings out the best in people.

Listen to your parents and ask them for help. Remember that they have seen the world much more and longer than you. Also, they are the only people in the world who have your best interest at heart and hence will never give you a bad advice. Parents are the God’s on earth so keep them by your side at all times.

Stay inspired. An inspired mind is an ignited mind. If you are interested in a particular field, or you have problems in a certain subject read about it. Read stories about people who might have gone through similar problems. Read about what they did to overcome it and do the same. Let their stories inspire you and guide you.

On a particularly tough or tiring day sit back and think of yourself 10 or 20 years down the line. Imagine the perfect life for yourself. Imagine yourself in the job that you love, with the life that you have always dreamt about yourself. Then tell yourself that all the hard work and all the late night studying is all going to make that life come true for you. That is the best way to stay motivated.

Read as much as you can. Rest as much as you can. Laugh as much as you can. Stay happy and healthy. Do not think of your books as parasites, rather think of it as a way to get to a grander life and all will be perfect. Lastly remember that it is your life. The choices that you make everyday are going to impact your life in big and small ways so make them wisely. Most importantly remember that you are the maker of your life. It will become whatever you want it to become. So be good and make your life work for you.
